How An Indian Fell In Love With Dirilis Ertugrul.

Hey! This post, How an Indian fell in love with Dirilis Ertugrul is gonna be about my journey of falling in love with the Turkish series known as Dirilis Ertugrul.

Dirilis Ertugrul, also known as Resurrection Ertugrul is a Turkish series which is based on the life of Ertugrul Ghazi the father of Osman the founder of the Ottoman empire.

I had no idea about Ertugrul Ghazi or much of the Ottoman empire except that which was taught in my school days in history lessons.

It was just last summer when one of my cousins came to me and told me that he's watching this series Dirilis Ertugrul and he told me that it's an amazing series that has changed his mind and brought many positive changes in his attitude. At first I was just like, "Oh! Ok...that sounds good."

He told me that even I should watch this series called Dirilis Ertugrul and gave me the first season (Urdu dubbed) in a pen drive.

The next day I switched on my computer and transferred the series from the pen drive to my PC.

I watched the first episode of Dirilis Ertugrul and let me be honest here, at first I found it a bit boring as I wasn't much exposed to such religious and history related serials. However, it was summer and I was having my vacations so I decided to continue with the series and trust me, that was one of the best decisions of my life.

The series that I found boring in the beginning had turned me into a huge fan of it. The teachings, fascinating history, culture and the amazing acting, everything was just awesome and it increased my knowledge about Turkish and Islamic history abundantly.

The series Dirilis Ertugrul is actually about how some practicing Muslim nomads went on to create history by standing up for justice and love of their religion.

I turned such a big fan of Dirilis Ertugrul that I went on to watch all the five seasons and the interesting fact is that, I used to watch it live on TRT in Turkish language even without understanding Turkish (I'm an Indian).

I used to watch it in Turkish then I would wait for it to come with English subtitles on various groups on social media.

Ertugrul's love for his people, religion, customs and justice is something that I feel everyone must learn.

Ertugrul Ghazi started his fight for justice from a tent and ended up almost laying the foundation of the Ottoman empire.

Although Osman is considered as the founder of the Ottoman empire but after watching the series Dirilis Ertugrul I believe that it was Ertugrul Ghazi who inspired Osman and the Turkish tribes to light the torch of the Ottoman empire which later turned into a caliphate.

Not only Muslims but also people of other religions are loving the series because of the amazing Turkish culture and acting of the cast.

I would suggest you to watch it once and I'm sure that just like me, you too will love Dirilis Ertugrul and won't be able to wait patiently to watch the next episode after you've watched one.

Thank you for reading, share the post with your friends and family. Eyvallah!(Thanks in a religious manner)
